Since the HVCC became effective on May 1, 2009, many lenders have resorted to ordering appraisals through appraisal management companies.  However, the HVCC does have provisions for ordering  appraisals WITHOUT using an appraisal management company.  Don't be fooled by the confusing language in the HVCC.  Contact us for details!
